PERFORMANCE
The clamshell grab bucket, named for its opening and closing action that resembles the shell of a clam, is the most widely used type of grab. It is primarily used for loading and unloading bulk materials such as coal, ore, sand, grain, and garbage.
Lightweight grabs: Used for low-density materials such as grain and fertilizer. They feature thin plates and a light weight.
Medium-duty grabs: Used for common bulk cargoes such as coal and sand.
Heavy-duty grabs: Used for high-density, abrasive materials such as ore and scrap steel. Made of high-strength, wear-resistant steel plates (such as Hardox) and equipped with ribs and threaded sleeves.

Clamshell Grab For Port terminals: Loading and unloading of coal, ore, and bulk grain. Clamshell Grab For Thermal power generation: Stacking and reclaiming operations at power plant coal yards. Clamshell Grab For Metallurgy: Material transfer at steel mill raw material yards and coking plants.
